In 2008 we will complete the remodeling of our Chancel. A four-manual Trillium Masterpiece Rodgers Organ with ten ranks of Fratelli Ruffatti pipes (from Padua, Italy) will be installed, making the Walt Lawrence & Stephen Lewis Worship Center of the Sunshine Cathedral a first-class performance space both for organ concerts and other performing arts events.

Sunshine Cathedral is one parish that meets in multiple locations: Fort Lauderdale, Jamaica, and soon we will offer services in the Miami area. Our Fort Lauderdale location is at 1480 SW 9th Avenue. Sunshine Cathedral is a member of Metropolitan Community Churches and is affiliated with The Center for Progressive Christianity.

Pastoral Vision
On November 3, 2007, Sunshine Cathedral installed a new Senior Pastor, the Reverend Durrell Watkins. The new pastor has outlined a 10-year vision that includes:
- To promote progressive, positive, practical spirituality within the Sunshine Cathedral community and beyond.
- To continue building a culture of gratitude and generosity, where every active member gives generously of time, talent, and treasure to the work of Sunshine Cathedral.
- To have 1200 weekly worshipers at our Fort Lauderdale location (basically doubling our attendance in the next decade).
- To continue reaching out to South Florida, the Caribbean, and beyond with Sunshine Cathedral worship centers, outreach services, discussion groups, written materials, Internet, and other media
- To improve the quality and accessibility of Religious Education through Light University.
