Rev. Dr. DeWayne Davis

The Reverend Doctor DeWayne Davis is a leader on many fronts. He was an aide to Congressman Steny Hoyer and later would pastor All God’s Children Metropolitan Community Church in Minneapolis before leading the historic Plymouth Congregational church in the same city. While at Plymouth Dr. Davis also served as the Chaplain to the Minnesota State Senate.

Last Fall, Rev. DeWayne entered the race for mayor of Minneapolis. The field started with 17 candidates and on Election Day still had 15 candidates. Of those 15, DeWayne Davis garnered the third most votes.

Currently, he is on the faculty of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Rev. Davis holds a BA from Howard University (DC), a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary (DC), and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN).
