Lent I: Giving up Lent for Lent
Lent I: Giving up Lent for Lent – rather than temporarily giving up soda or chocolate for a few weeks, what lasting transformation might we experience if we gave up shame, fear, or regret? If we gave up the old fasts of Lent and practiced more practical and lasting sacrifices (like sacrificing attitudes that hold us back), for a season, what are the healing experiences we might have as a result. Let’s see together

Lent II: Picking Up Good Habits in Lent
Lent II: Picking Up Good Habits in Lent – Some people “give up” things for Lent, but another approach is to “take on” something for Lent. One might take on a variety of prayer practices, a commitment to worship weekly, an increase in generous giving, an exercise routine, daily meditation, reading more books, even the practice of gardening. One thing we could “take on” together is a deeper dive into scripture study. Let’s spend the second half of lent in deep dive bible study.

Introduction to Pridetide
Introduction to Pridetide – Over the years we have looked at Queering scriptural texts, we have deconstructed the “clobber-passages” used against people with same-gender attraction, and we have even looked at gender complexity and fluidity in scripture. But we’ve never done it all in one series…until 2026. Join us for four consecutive weeks in June. Make a commitment to attend each week and let’s liberate the scriptures from oppressive theologies and liberate ourselves from abusive uses of sacred texts.
